Give Our Streets the Green Light Campaign
The "Give Our Streets the Green Light" campaign is a statewide campaign by councils to install energy efficient public lighting. Cost of converting current lights to Green Lights is considerable and the Municipals Association of Victoria is lobbying State Government to assist with funding for conversion. A changeover to energy efficient public lighting would provide a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and a significant financial saving to Shire's budget.
